Job Description

The Role

We are searching for an experienced and talented Payroll and Finance Administrator to join us on a fixed-term minimum 9 month contract, to commence at the earliest opportunity.  This role can be either part-time or full-time and encompasses the following duties and responsibilities:

End-To-End Payroll Coordination and Execution

  • End to end payroll processing on a fortnightly basis for approximately 140 staff, waged, salaried and directors.
  • Utilising your IMS/MYOB payroll expertise to process end to end payroll in a timely and quality focused manner.
  • Payroll reporting such as leave balances, end of month journals, any discrepancies that must be brought to the managers attention.
  • Understanding and working within ACC Payroll frameworks.
  • Applying legislation as it pertains to payroll.
  • Applying your knowledge of rostering, union and collective agreements and allowances to the payroll as applicable.

Financial Administration

  • Finance support including filing, cash and banking support, backup support to Accounts Payable and Receivables (would be hugely advantageous) and reconciliations as required.

Desired Skills and Experience

Who are you, what do you bring?

  • Substantial experience in IMS payroll or a similar system in an end-to-end capacity.
  • You hold sound knowledge of ACC and how it pertains to payroll (Average daily pay etc.).
  • Knowledge of collective agreements, and allowances.
  • A strong understanding of financial support processes and procedures – AP, AR, Banking and Reconciliations.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Great time management skills with a deadline driven approach.
  • The ability to engage with people at all levels and remain calm under pressure.
  • Strong computer skills across finance ERP’s and the MS Office Suite.
