Electra is on the lookout for a talented Communications and Engagement Advisor to join our Customer and Sustainability team. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of how we engage with our customers, stakeholders, and community — both online and face to face.
What you’ll be doing:
You’ll play a crucial part in crafting and coordinating engaging content across our website and social media channels, supporting internal and external communications, and being hands-on with community events and initiatives. Your role could look like:
- Keeping our website and social media platforms fresh, relevant and on-brand
- Helping plan and run community events and initiatives, including feedback sessions, focus groups, etc.
- Coordinating marketing and promotional materials for educational or business purposes
- Managing customer feedback and helping to drive improvements in how we engage
- Ensuring that there are no surprises to our community – this includes notifications about planned or unplanned outages, or issues on the network
- Preparing and distributing internal communications and company updates
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has a tertiary qualification in communications, journalism or a related field
- Brings excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knows their way around design tools like InDesign and digital platforms like WordPress
- Is confident across a range of social media channels
- Thrives in a collaborative, customer-focused environment
- Is organised, creative, and ready to roll up their sleeves
- Can listen, empathise and create outcomes that are beneficial to all
