You know that moment when a deal, a pricing call, or a regulatory position can shift the entire playing field? That’s this role. We aren’t just looking for a regulatory expert. We’re looking for someone who can connect the commercial dots, with customers, with contracts, with pricing, and then confidently step into the regulatory space to back it all up.
The Role
Yes, there’s regulation. Yes, there’s pricing. But this role starts with key customers, major projects and critical commercial relationships. You will build and manage high-value customer and contractor relationships, lead commercial negotiations on key projects and contracts, and support teams to identify opportunities, mitigate risk and land strong outcomes.
You’ll operate as a trusted partner across the business, not a back-office function. From there, you’ll bring it home by shaping pricing strategy and annual price setting, owning pricing models and commercial frameworks, representing Electra’s position in the industry, and translating regulation into real-world commercial decisions. This role connects commercial management, pricing ownership and regulatory influence into one cohesive function, reporting to the General Manager – Commercial.
What Makes This Different
Most roles split commercial, pricing and regulatory into separate functions. This one connects them. You’ll move seamlessly from customer outcomes to network performance to industry influence. You’ll be the person who sits at the table with customers, shapes the deal, models the impact and then backs that position at industry level. It’s an end-to-end commercial leadership role operating in a regulated environment, with genuine scope to influence outcomes internally and externally.
About You
You know how to hold your own in a commercial conversation and can translate complexity into clear, strategic decisions. You build credibility quickly with customers, executives and regulators alike, and are comfortable balancing risk, revenue and long-term outcomes.
You bring strong experience in pricing, regulation or infrastructure-related commercial models, along with the ability to analyse, influence and deliver. You don’t just interpret the rules; you understand when to challenge them and help shape them for better outcomes.
